Product Description:

SMARTPHONE SCIENCE KIT

No apps to download! Turn your iPhone, tablet, or smartphone into a science lab!

The 24-page book includes 20 experiments that explore the science behind touch-screen technology, use optical filters to explore the mysteries of light, and much more. The clip-on, light-up microscope  allows young scientists to point, click, and share extreme close-ups of microscopic images.

Smartphone Science Lab turns a phone into a combination camera and microscope. Kids can use the kit’s components to collect specimens and take super close-up photographs in the field with the microscope attachment and then share or save the images. The set comes with photographic filters and a book of suggested experiments. The resulting images are very impressive—little investigators can see every vein on a leaf or extreme details on the wings of a fly. The biggest drawback is that an expensive Smartphone is required—everything in this set is just an enhancement to the phone. If you have a smartphone then extende its capabilities.

Upon delivery I was taken back by how light the box was, thinking that it might be empty only to discover that inside the box was everything you need to become a budding scientist. The microscope fit my smartphone smugly and my sons Iphone easily, and allowed us to use filters and it even comes with a light in the microscope. This is really ingenuous, someone really knew what they where making. There are specimens that you can zoom into and the manual is packed with great ideas, great christmas [...read more]
